Support Worker – Psychosocial Support
Employment Type: Casual/Part-Time (with potential for ongoing shifts, including occasional overnights)
Sector: NDIS Disability Support
About the Role
We are seeking confident, emotionally resilient support workers to provide 1:1 care to a participant living with Borderline Personality Disorder and chronic pain. The participant lives independently in her own home and requires daily in-home support, as well as occasional overnight assistance. This role is ideal for professionals with strong boundaries, trauma-informed experience, and the ability to remain calm and grounded during the rapport-building phase. The participant values her Christian faith and expects respectful, personalised care aligned with her values. The participant enjoys spending time with her beloved small dog, going on outings to the beach and local coffee shops, watching movies, listening to music, and sharing a laugh. She occasionally requires gentle encouragement and support to get out and about, particularly on low-energy or low-mood days, but once out, she enjoys her time fully.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver consistent, person-centred support in the participant's home and community
· Provide assistance with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
· Support the participant in managing symptoms of chronic pain and psychosocial challenges

· Encourage independent living skills and promote meaningful engagement
· Maintain clear professional and personal boundaries at all times
· Complete accurate shift documentation and communicate effectively with management
· Provide occasional overnight support as required
