Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive evidenced-based midwifery care at an advanced level, working in partnership with predominantly First Nations women and their families. This includes delivering direct midwifery care in a continuity of care antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal model.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Mandatory requirements include a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences, including a current practising certificate as a Registered Midwife.
* A postgraduate qualification or currently enrolled in a postgraduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
* Appointees will be required to participate in an on-call roster.
* Travel to Mornington Island and/or Doomadgee communities, as well as other facilities or units within the North West Hospital and Health Service, may be required.

* A base salary range of $4,138.10 to $4,431.10 p.f., plus a 35% Caseload Midwifery loading.
