We are recruiting a full‐time Nurse Unit Manager for our practice at St John of God Hospital Geelong.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the nursing team, including rostering and maintaining a cohesive and effective team.
* Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
* Prepare patients for examinations such as Ultrasound, CT, MRI and assist in medical imaging procedures.
* Oversee patient admission and consent for procedures including biopsy, drainage and fluoroscopy.
* Provide staff training on IV cannulation, CPR and other required skills.
* Respond effectively to emergency situations and support the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications & Skills
* Registered Nurse, Division1 [General] with current registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria.
* IV cannulation qualification.
* Proven effective leadership and organisational skills.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and time‐management skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards.
* Flexibility for overtime as required.
