About the Position We are excited to welcome an Early Childhood Coordinator to our Toowoomba Pathways for Early Learning and Development team ! As our Early Childhood Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of building relationships that truly matter. Working alongside the PELD team, you’ll connect families across Toowoomba with the health, education and early years services that help children thrive, not just on paper, but in real life. Through meaningful partnerships with early years and health services, you’ll help ensure families aren’t navigating systems alone but are supported by a network that understands their needs and walks alongside them. Level 5 SCHCADS Award. Salary range: $100,784 - $105,350 Superannuation. Full-time, Government funded contract until 31 December 2026 with possible extension. Key Responsibilities: Support families when it matters most, providing short-term, strengths-based interventions that help children aged 0–5 feel safe, supported and on track to thrive. Build trusted relationships and referral pathways that connect families, especially those facing complex challenges, to the right health and education services. Navigate sensitive conversations with care and confidence, championing child wellbeing while respecting family, culture, identity and lived experience. Partner with community and sector leaders, including First Nations and culturally diverse organisations, to remove barriers and create culturally responsive support systems. About You Tertiary degree in a community development, social work or human services related field (professional registration if required). At least three (3) years’ experience working within a community development sector with highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland. Willingness to travel to community centres and client locations to deliver outreach services. Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption). Current driver’s licence.
