Linehaul Driver – Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL)
Shape the future of Defence logistics with Toll Group. We are expanding our Government and Defence portfolio through the Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract. Skilled Linehaul Drivers will commence in March 2026 to help personnel meet mandatory training compliance and will safely and effectively perform duties nationwide.
Based at RAAF Amberley in Amberley, Queensland, you will be a driver and assist the warehouse with picking, sorting and staging of freight to support customer distribution tasks. The Driver will work seamlessly within the team environment, utilizing operational and personal skills, and follow all operational processes, procedures, and industry and legislative standards in line with Defence and contractual obligations.

How you'll make the right impact
- Load and unload products safely and in accordance with customer requirements, company policy and delivery schedules
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections, ensuring any issues are raised according to Toll Group standards and procedures
- Comply with all legislated road laws and regulations, including private and public networks
- Conduct all tasks within a customer’s site or in the public arena with professionalism
- Attend and complete all relevant training as required by Toll and the customer
- Actively participate in safety and toolbox meetings and incident investigations
- Operate equipment safely within operating processes and procedures
- Complete paperwork required by Toll and the customer to a high standard, including use of Electronic Work Diaries
- Report all defects, hazards, near misses and incidents efficiently
- Conduct all dealings with honesty and integrity
- Ensure high levels of customer service

Eligibility to make the grade
- Australian Citizen
- Current & valid MC Truck License
- 5‑year Demerit Traffic Report from the Road Transport Office
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher)
- Prepared to undertake pre‑employment checks including criminal history, medical, and other background assessments
