Backed by new leadership and a clear growth mandate, the business is aggressively investing in domestic transport, international freight forwarding, and 3PL warehousing capabilities.
They are now seeking a
Business Development Manager,
a true hunter, to drive new clients across the Australian market. This role is built for a high-performing sales professional from transport and logistics who thrives on opening doors, creating opportunities, and closing complex, high-value deals.
You'll be given the autonomy, backing, and commercial freedom to build your own pipeline, leverage your industry network, and win business in a market that's ready for disruption. This is a front-end growth role with minimal account management, success is measured by new business wins and revenue growth.

What You'll Do:
* Hunt, identify, and secure new business opportunities across domestic transport, international freight, and warehousing in Victoria
* Build a strong outbound pipeline through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry connections
* Target mid-market and enterprise customers, positioning end-to-end logistics solutions
* Lead end-to-end sales cycles — from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and close
* Develop compelling proposals and close high-value, multi-service logistics contracts
* Work closely with operations post-sale to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client success
* Establish a strong market presence and become a recognised face of the business in Melbourne
What You Need:
* Proven hunter experience within transport, freight forwarding, or logistics — only candidates from this sector will be considered
* 3+ years' experience winning new business in transport, freight forwarding, or logistics
* Strong understanding of domestic and international freight, customs processes, and trade compliance
* Demonstrated ability to build pipeline, open new doors, and close complex logistics deals
* CargoWise experience is highly regarded
* Strong CRM discipline and reporting capability (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
* Commercially sharp, resilient, and motivated by targets, wins, and growth
