As a Social Media Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating our social media presence across various platforms. We are seeking a creative, hands-on marketer who stays up-to-date with the latest trends in social media and can help others become social media savvy.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of what creates great user content across all social media channels including Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn. This role involves working closely with our network to help them create engaging social content in their communities. Yes, scrolling through Meta and TikTok is part of the job.
This position will be based in Sydney (Milsons Point) and report directly to the Head of Performance Marketing. We offer a flexible work environment and currently, the Marketing team works from the office one to two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the development and implementation of social media strategies to engage our audience and drive brand awareness
* Creating and scheduling engaging content across our social channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok to drive brand awareness, community connection, and growth
* Managing all reporting and responses to our Google Reviews, ensuring all reviews are replied to and shared as needed with the team
* Community engagement: Monitoring social media activity, responding to comments and messages, and analyzing performance data to inform future content plans
* Content Creation: Working with the team to create high-quality, eye-catching content for our central Meta and TikTok accounts plus assisting with the content generation of new accounts
* Video creation and editing: filming fresh content and editing existing footage to create appealing videos
* Publishing and scheduling content and assisting the team with account set up and management in Hootsuite
* Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure our content remains fresh and impactful
* Event management and logistics for all functions and events
* Managing all reporting and responses to our Google Reviews, ensuring all reviews are replied to and shared as needed with the team
* Reporting and coordination of our Storypark family app including usage and compliance to templates and quality of posts
* Working in Canva to create templates and artwork in line with brand standards
* Main interface into the team for their marketing, social media, and website needs
* Setting priorities, planning workload, meeting deadlines, and achieving objectives for the portfolio
* Other duties as directed by the Head of Performance Marketing
Requirements:
* 2+ years' experience in a similar role in a social media assistant or coordinator role, preferably within a marketing or communications environment
* Tertiary qualifications preferably in Marketing or Digital Marketing highly regarded
* High attention to detail
* Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* Creative and proactive – always having fresh ideas and on the lookout for emerging trends to boost content performance
* Time management – able to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities
* Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
* Ambitious and fun with an aptitude for learning new things
