About the role
As Library Officer, Monographs & Digital Collections, you will work as part of a team responsible for acquisition and access of mainly non-subscription resources and textbooks. The focus of this role is to acquire, catalogue, process and troubleshoot digital and physical library resources. You will also maintain Digital Collections, which comprises of a variety of RMIT-created, digitised or licensed resources for learning, teaching, marketing and promotional purposes.
Technological advancements, such as AI will be an integral part of the role as well as supporting the broader Acquisitions and Access team on RMIT Library projects.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Experience in acquisition and access of library resources in physical and digital formats, including original cataloging using industry standards and tools, preferably in an academic library.- Well-developed knowledge of automated Library systems, preferably Ex Libris products (Alma and Specto).-
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and team goals- Show a growth mindset and a readiness to be adaptable, working in an agile environment- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff and students on acquisitions and troubleshooting, to provide an excellent customer experience
Essential: Degree in Library and Information Services with relevant experience in Library Acquisitions (preferably in an academic library), or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

They provide flexible spaces for individual and group study, computer equipped group study rooms and seminar rooms for academic and library research skills training.
