Music Valley – Point Cook VIC (Contract) | Vocal Coach
We're seeking an experienced Vocal Coach to join our team at Music Valley, working across a wide spectrum of developing musicians—from emerging vocalists building strong foundations to advanced artists preparing for live performance and industry pathways. This role sits at the intersection of education, performance, and artist development and will play a key role in shaping vocalists at different stages of their journey.
Responsibilities
* Coaching vocalists across beginner to advanced levels
* Developing strong technical foundations and vocal control
* Directing ensemble vocals, harmonies, and live performance preparation
* Supporting advanced artists in industry-facing performance contexts
* Collaborating on arrangements, setlists, and show preparation
* Contributing to a positive, structured, high-growth learning workplace
Environment
* Students building their first real performance foundations
* Developing artists refining stage presence and vocal consistency
* Advanced performers preparing for live gigs, recordings, and industry opportunities
Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience in vocal coaching and 5+ years' experience in professional performance
* Strong ability to teach both fundamentals and advanced vocal technique
* Experience in ensemble direction, harmonies, and vocal arrangement
* Background in contemporary music (jazz experience highly regarded)
* Ability to work confidently with mixed‐level groups and individuals
* Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
* A professional, grounded, and encouraging coaching approach
* Ability to maintain structure, standards, and engagement across all levels
Role Details
Contract position – ******* hours per week.
3‐4 weekday shifts, 3:30 pm – 9:00 pm, with additional paid weekend performance opportunities.
