**What you'll be doing**
This Dental Assistant role supports clinicians in delivering essential oral health care across Western Sydney, mainly through mobile and outreach services. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Assisting with dental procedures in a four-handed setting
- Working in mobile clinics at schools and outreach sites
- Maintaining high infection control and hygiene standards
- Supporting fixed clinics as needed across the district
- Helping transport and set up portable dental equipment
**How to Apply**
**Essential Criteria**:
- Qualification: Certificate III in Dental Assisting or recognised equivalent/current enrolment in the course.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Recent, adequate experience as a Dental Assistant across a range of dental specialties
- Demonstrated ability to assist the clinician in a four-handed environment, with a variety of dental procedures including general or specialised care.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effective infection control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting.
- Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting with good computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- The ability to work in a large, multidisciplinary team, and be able to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including fellow health care workers and the general public.
- Excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Hold a current Class C Licence and willing to take shared responsibility for safe driving of various fleet vehicles between locations in Western Sydney and back to the base location.
