Medical Officer Role
Serco's Australian Defence Force Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to ADF personnel across Australia.
We are seeking an experienced medical professional to join our team as a Medical Officer. As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for delivering primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
About the Role
* You will form part of a multidisciplinary team working towards the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
* You will play an integral role in assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and in the provision of care that will support the health and welling of members pre and post deployments.
* You will provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and Commanders of units.
Requirements
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR, Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
* Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
