We are seeking a driven and capable Area Manager (Retail Performance Lead) to oversee a portfolio of approximately 15 fuel and convenience store locations. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing retail professional with multi-site experience who is ready to step into a broader leadership role within a growing national business.
In this role, you will lead by example, coach and develop retailers and store teams, and drive consistent operational and commercial performance across your network. Experience in fuel retailing is advantageous but not essential—strong convenience or multi-site retail experience is key.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the performance of approximately 15 retail locations
* Coach and develop store teams and retailers to grow retail performance
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
* Achieve audit and quality targets across the network
* Deliver engaging customer experiences across all sites
* Support rollout of local and national marketing initiatives
* Onboard, and retain high-performing retailers
* Champion HSSE standards and compliance with company policies and legislation
What You'll Bring
* Minimum 5 years' experience in retail or convenience (multi-site preferred)
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Proven ability to train, coach and mentor
* Hands-on, proactive mindset with a focus on performance and quality
* High emotional intelligence and the ability to build strong relationships
* Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
* Experience in fuel, QSR, or high-volume convenience is a bonus – not essential
* Passion for developing people and improving store standards
