About CatholicCare NT

CatholicCare NT operates across the NT as a leading non-government organisation. We implement a case management approach to break the cycle of homelessness through empowering clients to effectively problem solve and manage their accommodation. Weprovide clients with life skills, role modelling, referrals, advocacy to address the multifaceted challenges they face in maintaining their home.

About the Role

The Case Worker (Housing Support) is responsible for providing assertive case management, education and support to participants as well as delivering outreach case management, working collaboratively with community agencies and stakeholders, participating in networking to develop support plans to address all challenges within the client's context. This role develops strategies to address challenges and develop positive change while supporting successful transition out of public housing and promoting social integration to enable clients to live independent lives in mainstream accommodation.

What we are looking for

* Relevant qualifications which could include degree or diploma level in areas such as Community Services, Housing, Social Work.
* Relevant experience in case management within vulnerable communities
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to engage with vulnerable people with complex challenges
* Previous experience with working and living in remote communities and demonstrated knowledge of community development principals and engagement techniques
* Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people
