Environmental Compliance Coordinator Job Description
This is a leadership role that fosters a culture of continuous improvement, high performance and strategic thinking. The primary purpose of this position is to lead and coordinate the Compliance Team.
About You
You will have proven experience as an investigator in Local Government, with extensive knowledge of NSW legislation. Ideally, you will have experience in a supervisory role, having led high performing teams to successfully complete programs, projects and achieve compliance outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the Compliance Team
* Investigate reports of unlawful activity and breaches of legislation
* Develop and deliver process improvement projects and enforcement programs
* Work closely with like-minded leaders and professionals within the City Planning Leadership team
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Proven, practical experience as an investigator in Local Government
* Extensive experience and knowledge of NSW legislation
* Experience in a supervisory role, having led high performing teams
* The ability to effectively communicate at all levels within an organisation
* Tertiary qualifications in Building surveying, Local Government investigations or a related regulatory or legal discipline
