About us: Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS): provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. The Adult Community Services Team is based in Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast and provides a service to consumers with complex mental illness in outpatient and home settings, through a range of community mental health interventions including assessment, case management, therapeutic treatment, support, consultations and referral for adults from the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast regional area. About the role: Provide consumer focused, evidence based care at an advanced level through the use of contemporary skills, knowledge and experience under the supervision (direct or indirect) of a Registered Nurse/Midwife. This position will demonstrate advanced knowledge, experience and integration of theoretical knowledge to practice. Provide effective and efficient clinical care and work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and non-clinical personnel to provide quality nursing care. About you: Appointment to this position requires Diploma in nursing or equivalent. Registration as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current practicing certificate are mandatory for this position. Qualifications or further studies in mental health would be highly regarded. Experience in mental health would be preferred but not mandatory.
