Job Summary:
A store associate plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our stores by providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and performing various tasks related to merchandising, cashiering, and inventory management.
Main Responsibilities:
* Cashiering: Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently, handle cash and operate a cash register with ease.
* Maintaining Store Environment: Clean and organize store shelves, stock merchandise neatly, and ensure that all displays are attractive and well-maintained.
* Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, assist with their shopping experience, and address any concerns they may have.
* Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with other team members to achieve common goals, communicate clearly with the store management team, and provide feedback on products and services.
* Inventory Management: Participate in taking store inventory counts, monitor inventory levels, and report any discrepancies or issues to the management team.
* Cash Handling: Adhere to cash policies and procedures, minimize losses, and maintain the confidentiality of company documents and data.
Physical Demands:
* Stocking Merchandise: Stock product from store receiving to shelving, weighing up to 45 pounds, at various heights.
* Standing and Walking: Regularly required to stand, sit, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
Qualifications:
* Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to work as a store associate at ALDI.
* Excellent Customer Service: Ability to provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
* Cash Handling: Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
* Equipment Operation: Ability to safely and properly operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler.
* Cleaning Duties: Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
