What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will lead and deliver engaging education programs that support staff capability and ensure safe, high quality paediatric care in an acute setting.
• Design, implement and evaluate clinical education programs
• Mentor and support nursing staff to maintain competency
• Facilitate bedside teaching using advanced clinical expertise
• Collaborate with leadership to meet strategic education goals
• Drive continuous improvement through evidence based practice

Essential Criteria
* Registration:Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/ education.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
* Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
* Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
* Demonstrated ability and commitment to collaborative and integrated multidisciplinary teamwork, aimed at building and strengthening partnerships with consumers and key stakeholders to provide best practice service delivery.
* Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
* Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
