Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
A permanent part time Switchboard Operator position is available at Nepean Hospital. The position is rostered for 32 hours per fortnight.

**What you will bring to the role**:
- Current experience using a multi-extension switchboard and demonstrated ability to manage multiple calls simultaneously
- Demonstrated good verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to clearly convey written messages as well as maintain electronic and hard-copy documents / databases
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills
- Willingness and ability to work a 24 hour rotating roster with demonstrated ability to be flexible
- Ability to organise and set work priorities to meet department requirements in a high-pressured, busy and demanding environment
- Experience in a frontline customer service role and the ability to effectively use problem solving and negotiation skills
