Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team for a challenging project in the Riverina region. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering, design documentation, and project management.
About the Project
The project involves the redevelopment of three defence bases: Blamey Barracks Kapooka, RAAF Base Wagga, and Albury Wodonga Military Area. The redevelopment works include major upgrades and refurbishment of in-ground services, new and improved road and footpath infrastructure, base entrances/intersections, and dozens of new buildings such as accommodation, training, and messing facilities. Design has been completed, and construction has commenced.
Your Role
The role is intended to service the construction phase of the project. Key responsibilities include attending civil engineering site inspections at the three bases, providing inspection reports, and communicating with the existing project design team. You will work collaboratively with other local consultants and provide escort services if required to enable other team members to undertake site activities.
Requirements
* Bachelor to Masters' level degree in Civil Engineering
* Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable)
* Excellent expertise in civil engineering and design documentation, including sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes
* Solid industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects, ideally in a consulting environment
* High level of expertise in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector
* Sound client-facing and account/relationship management skills
* Excellent project management skills, including managing civil engineering teams
* Adept in cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines
* Highly developed customer-focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills
