Warehouse and Delivery Associate
The role of a Stores Person/Driver is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment.
About the Role
In this full-time, permanent position, you will primarily act as a Store Person and occasionally assume the role of Driver. As a Store Person, your responsibilities will include:
* Receiving goods at Mercy Food Services according to the Food Safety Plan and completing necessary documentation.
* Notifying the Food Services Administration Assistant of incomplete or defective products for return.
* Ensuring stored products adhere to the Food Safety Plan.
* Performing general cleaning tasks to maintain a clean environment as required.
* Completing washroom duties, including thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing dishes, pot/pans, etc., prior to use.
* Participating in Kitchen Hand duties as needed.
As a Driver, your responsibilities will include:
* Verifying and completing all documentation related to dispatch and product delivery according to the Food Safety Plan.
* Ensuring products are properly loaded onto transport trolleys as per dispatch sheets.
* Delivering food products to clients according to the scheduled delivery plan.
* Conducting vehicle checks and documenting MFS vehicles according to the Food Safety Plan.
* Informing the Food Services Manager about regular scheduled services for MFS Vehicles.
* Ensuring Mercy Food Service Equipment is returned in good condition.
* Monitoring refrigeration temperatures during journeys and checking vehicle cleanliness according to the weekly cleaning program.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A valid manual MR driver's license.
* An understanding of basic food safety principles and hygiene practices.
* The ability to achieve goals and objectives with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience in truck driving.
* A Food Safety Certificate.
* Experience in commercial cleaning applications.
