Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a talented Admin / Receptionist professional to join their busy team for a casual temporary assignment until end of December 2025.
About the role
As an Admin / Receptionist, you will undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support, and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities. Your key duties include:
* Provide counter/reception support for the local office, including handling customer enquiries at self-help kiosks and online support.
* Resolve customer enquiries, provide information, and/or refer customers to appropriate government or community services.
* Manage the team shared email inbox, appointments, and telephone enquiries.
* Coordinate appointments using agency office facilities, ensuring accessibility for participants.
* Undertake research and investigation activities and prepare reports and correspondence.
* Perform data entry activities and ensure follow-up is completed.
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Proven experience as an Administration Officer, Receptionist, Customer Service, or similar role.
* Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office products.
* First Nations cultural knowledge and awareness is a plus!
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage various internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to handle tasks with competing deadlines and priorities.
Benefits
* ASAP start pending clearance.
* Temporary assignment until 31st December 2025.
* Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
* $37.36 per hour + super.
* Location: Devonport, TAS.
