About the role We're seeking an experienced and driven Senior Training Specialist to support the development and capability uplift of our technical workforce across the renewables sector. This role will focus on delivering high quality training programs and initiatives across wind, battery, or solar technologies. You'll play a key part in ensuring our workforce is skilled, safe, and future ready by coordinating and delivering training, assessment, and competency based programs. This is a hands-on role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, program management and the ability to lead training outcomes across a geographically dispersed team. This role will be based at our new Training Academy based in Tamworth. Relocation support will be considered for the right candidate. About You You bring deep industry experience and a genuine passion for developing others. With a background as an electrician and a minimum of three years working within the renewables sector, you understand the technical, regulatory and safety requirements of modern renewable energy operations. You're proactive, adaptable and confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Your communication style allows you to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and you enjoy promoting a positive learning culture. About Your Skills - Strong technical understanding of wind, battery or solar operations - Proven experience delivering or coordinating training within a technical or complex operational environment - Ability to troubleshoot critical, unplanned events and provide timely solutions - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong planning, organisation and time-management capabilities - Ability to support continuous improvement in training quality, safety, and compliance - Competent using computer systems and business applications relevant to training and assessment Mandatory Qualifications - UEE30820: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent - Drivers licence - SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Training (White Card Desired Qualifications - UET30621 or UET30821: Certificate III ESI - Distribution, Cable Jointing qualification - UEE43322: Certificate IV in Electrical - Renewable Energy or equivalent - TAE50122: Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or equivalent - BSB50420: Diploma of Leadership and Management or equivalent - TAE40122: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent Desired Experience - Experience delivering training, assessment or capability-building programs - Exposure to vocational education, technical training, or competency based assessment - Experience working within a regulated training environment or RTO setting - Knowledge of up-to-date renewable technologies, safety systems, and operational requirements Why Essential Energy Essential Energy provides employees with a broad range of employee benefits through our corporate partnerships with organisations such as Qantas, Optus, nib and Mildura Health Fund.
