Rosewood Care Group is seeking compassionate and motivated Allied Health Assistants to support our lifestyle and therapy team in delivering meaningful programs that enhance the social, cultural, spiritual, and physical wellbeing of our residents.
About the Role
Working under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Lifestyle Coordinator, you will assist in the delivery of therapy and lifestyle activities aligned with residents' care plans, preferences, and life histories.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver individual and group programs, that support physiotherapy, occupational therapy and lifestyle care plans.
* Foster relationships with residents that enhance wellbeing through social and emotional connection and provision of meaningful activities.
* Promote resident independence, choice and decision-making during interactions.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their support networks, and multidisciplinary team members
* Observe, document, and maintain accurate records of resident participation
* Provide feedback to the Lifestyle Coordinator and allied health team regarding change in wellbeing status and observed or reported needs and preferences.
* Ensure the safe use, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment and resources
* Monitor stock levels of consumable items.
* Participate in meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities
Criteria
* Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
* Current National Police Clearance
* Demonstrated ability to accurately follow care plans and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Proven ability to establish respectful, responsive relationships with older people who have diverse needs.
* Demonstrated ability to document allied health assistant interventions according to workplace procedures.
* Commitment to continuous improvement in the workplace.
* Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
* Commitment to safe work practices for the wellbeing of residents and staff.
