We’re looking for a commercially driven, analytically sharp, and action-oriented
Head of Sales Harvey Norman – Australia & New Zealand
to join our Sales Finance team. This critical leadership role combines relationship management, commercial acumen, and frontline execution to drive growth, customer acquisition, and commercial performance for Harvey Norman.
You’ll lead a team of Area/Account Managers to unlock sales finance volume, optimise partner engagement, and ensure our propositions deliver strong outcomes for customers and commercial returns for the business. You’ll also lead negotiations, shape go-to-market initiatives and work cross-functionally to remove barriers to growth across our most strategically important accounts.
Responsibilities
Drive Commercial Growth: Own national sales, revenue, and customer acquisition targets; develop growth plans and optimise performance.
Manage Strategic Partnerships: Build strong relationships with Harvey Norman leaders, remove barriers to growth, and execute co-marketing initiatives.
Lead a High-Performing Team: Coach, develop, and manage ~12 Area Managers across AU & NZ; establish clear goals, coaching rhythms, and performance reviews.
Enable Partner Success: Train Area Managers to empower retail teams in selling finance confidently and effectively.
Ensure Compliance: Embed responsible lending practices, monitor complaints/NPS, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Operations teams to tailor offers, optimise processes, and test new initiatives.
Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in partnerships, B2B sales, or commercial roles within financial services, fintech, retail, or payments.
5+ years of experience leading field sales teams across multiple territories and partners.
Proven track record of delivering revenue, acquisition, and activation targets in a partner‑led channel.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Commercial acumen in forecasting, portfolio planning, promotion ROI, and resource allocation.
Practical understanding of compliant sales conversations for consumer finance and disclosure standards.
