The Role
The Central Registration and Enrolment Scheme will now be managed in-house by the City of Greater Bendigo. This new position supports the delivery of the scheme by providing high quality administrative and customer service support to families, service providers, and internal stakeholders. The role will support the registration of approximately 2000 children in approximately 50 kindergartens in the Greater Bendigo region.
* Administer all aspects of the kindergarten registration and enrolment process
* Maintain accurate data records and generate reports to support strategic planning and service delivery
* Collaborate with Maternal and Child Health, and community organisations to identify and support vulnerable families
* Assist in the development and implementation of systems and processes that improve registration and enrolment efficiency
The role ensures equitable, timely, and transparent access to kindergarten places across the municipality.
The position will be based at our Galkangu Office in Bendigo, but will travel to sites across the Greater Bendigo region.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Strong administration skills with a demonstrated work history in an administrative position, with administration experience in early childhood or local government being desirable
* An understanding of early childhood education services and the Central Registration and Enrolment Scheme model with a commitment to equity, inclusion and child safety
* A customer service focus with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* High attention to detail and problem solving skills
* Proficient in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office suite, data base systems eg Xpedite and software
A satisfactory police check, employee Working with Children Check and current drivers licence are required.
