Role Summary
The Community Support Worker supports clients within the NDIS framework to achieve their goals, increase independence, and participate in the community. The role involves assisting people with disability and/or psychosocial needs with daily living activities while promoting positive behaviours, skill development, and meaningful learning experiences.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Supporting clients with community access, including social outings, shopping trips, and medical appointments
* Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living (showering, dressing, toileting)
* Providing meal preparation, eating assistance, and light domestic duties
* Administering medication in accordance with care plans
* Liaising with families and client representatives to ensure coordinated, person-centred support

Skills, Attributes and Experience
The ideal candidate will pride themselves on their ability to deliver person-centred care that values the choice and goals of the client. They will have the people skills to build and maintain meaningful, lasting relationships with their clients. They will also demonstrate a commitment to being a productive and positive member of the broader home and community team.
Key Criteria
* Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a WA Working with Children Check
* Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Proof of working rights - Passport or visa
* Experience working with children with autism will be highly regarded
