We are partnering with a growing quarrying and materials contractor operating across North Queensland and the Northern Territory. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced HSEC Manager to lead health, safety, environmental, and compliance performance across multiple operational sites.
In this role, you will drive HSEC strategy, ensure legislative compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture across quarry and crushing operations. You will manage support services for remote and mobile camps, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. You will also liaise with regulators and external stakeholders, ensuring operational practices meet legislative and reporting requirements. This position may be offered on a FIFO roster or residential basis, depending on location and project needs.
You will work closely with operational leaders to embed practical systems that support safe production outcomes while meeting environmental, health, and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead HSEC strategy and compliance across multiple quarry sites
• Manage remote and mobile camp support services for safe operations
• Liaise with regulators and external stakeholders on compliance matters
• Oversee audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems
• Coach leaders to strengthen safety culture and accountability
About you
• Proven background in HSEC leadership roles within quarrying, mining, or civil operations
• Strong knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation
• Experience managing support services for remote or mobile camps
• Capability in developing and implementing HSEC systems
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement
