About the role
A Pick Packer is responsible for accurately picking, packing, labeling, and preparing food products for distribution while maintaining quality, safety, and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate is able to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions carefully, and contribute to efficient daily production operations.
What you'll do
* Picking and Packing dry and chilled product
* Maintain accurate records of stock levels and report discrepancies
* Select items from shelves based on order specifications, ensuring accuracy
* Safely pack items for dispatch, using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
* Hand wrap pallets of products ready for dispatch
* Create and attach labels to packages for easy identification.
* Keep the work area organized and clean to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Previous pick and pack experience is not essential but highly regarded
* Must be reliable, with an exceptional attitude towards safety and teamwork
* Must be physically fit as vertical lifting (manual handling) is a component of this role
* Proficient English (reading, written and spoken)
* Must have valid right to work in Australia
* Must be able to work, flexible with shifts
* Strong understanding of sanitation practices within the food industry.
* Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
* Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
