With a modern, supportive workplace culture and a focus on service excellence, we are now seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to take ownership of the firm's financial operations. This role can be either full time or part time.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage trust accounts in compliance with regulations, including trust receipts and payments, daily and month-end reconciliations, and annual trust audits.
* Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing, ensuring accurate client invoicing, vendor payments, and financial record-keeping.
* Process payroll and superannuation in line with statutory requirements.
* Perform daily bank reconciliations for all firm accounts and assist with BAS, IAS and other reporting.
* Respond to finance queries from staff and provide clear, practical support.
* Maintain accurate records in Xero and ensure compliance with legal industry accounting practices.
About You
* Experience managing a legal trust account and an understanding of compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in Xero (experience with Actionstep is desirable but not essential).
* Experience processing payroll and related compliance.
* High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability when handling financial data and client funds.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
