Aftersales (Parts) Manager

The opportunity
We are seeking an energetic and commercially focused Aftersales (Parts) Manager to lead our national parts function, shape our aftermarket strategy and drive operational excellence. In this role, you will guide a high‑performing team, oversee key parts operations and forecasting, and deliver strong revenue, customer and growth outcomes across our aftermarket and Perkins pillars.
Reporting to the GM Aftersales and Engines, you will play a key role in shaping our parts strategy, driving operational excellence, and leading a high‑performing team to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
This role can be based in New South Wales or Queensland.
Your responsibilities include:
* Provide clear direction, coaching and support to direct team and ensure your team is equipped, trained and motivated to meet operational and customer demands.
* Develop, manage and execute a national parts strategy aligned to business growth objectives.
* Act as the escalation point for major parts supply or customer issues.
* Oversee parts forecasting, demand planning and margin performance.
* Optimise stock turns, safety stock levels and slow‑moving inventory.
* Review critical spares strategies for key hire and fleet customers.
* Monitor and report on key KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conduct weekly team meetings to ensure alignment and operational clarity.
* Drive aftermarket parts revenue and profitability to exceed budget requirements.
* Identify and pursue new market opportunities across engines and parts.
* Strengthen external distribution channels and support dealer network performance through KPI‑driven management.
* Promote and grow sales through effective customer engagement and strategic planning.
* Lead Perkins DE activities within the Aftermarket Pillar.
* Own the Perkins aftersales strategy, growth plan, margin strategy and digital strategy.
* Manage inventory forecasting and second‑level dealer relationships.
* Provide timely and accurate departmental reporting.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, company policies, procedures and systems.
* Maintain accurate records including timesheets, inventory and expenditure.
* Complete assigned training within required timeframes.
What you must have
* Strong experience in a leadership role within a growing business.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Dynamics CRM and Excel; experience with INFOR and PowerBI is highly regarded.
* Demonstrated success in building, motivating and managing high‑performing teams.
* Strong business acumen with the ability to deliver both short‑ and long‑term outcomes.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* High level of integrity, dependability and results orientation.
* Sound judgement, problem‑solving capability and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Operational financial understanding, including margins and budget adherence.
