Role Details
As a Process Engineer working full-time in our paper recycling division, you will support the engineering team in optimising production processes and energy management. This role is integral to ensuring efficient production operations, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and contributing to cost reduction initiatives.
Working under the guidance of the Senior Engineer you will implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing projects related to process. This role will lead energy optimisation initiatives, managing small to medium-sized capital projects, and contributing to the continuous improvement of production efficiency and product quality.
You will be part of the engineering team's on-call roster that provides 24/7 operations support to the mills.
What you'll do
* Develop and implement new safe working procedures in line with regulations and company standards.
* Monitor Machine Operations to meet production and quality targets through Process Control, monitoring, testing, and addressing non-conformances.
* Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure system functionality.
* Manage daily Paper Making and Energy KPI (key performance indicators) reporting and dashboards (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word)
* Monitor, interpret, and prepare reports on the Energy budget to drive cost optimisation.
What You Will Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Chemical and/or Process)
* Experience working with Process Control Systems in a manufacturing or processing environment
* Proficiency with Data Analysis tools and programs (Pi Process book, SQL, BI software, Excel, Access)
* Experience reading, interpreting, and modifying P&IDs/PCDs/PFDs
