With a team of around 45 professionals, the studio has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, high-quality architecture across multi-residential and mixed-use projects. ABOUT THE ROLE A rare opportunity to join the leadership team of a respected architectural studio. This is a senior position suited to a highly creative architect who thrives on shaping concepts, influencing project direction and guiding teams through the design journey. Working closely with the practice leadership you’ll play a key role in developing architectural responses from early-stage concept through design development and planning approval phases. You will also help shape the design ethos of the practice while mentoring up and coming Architects/Designers. DUTIES Lead the creation of strong architectural concepts that respond to client briefs and planning processes Translate early design ideas into viable project strategies that maximise site potential Direct the development of design proposals from concept through key planning and approval milestones Prepare and present high-quality design material for client presentations and stakeholder engagement Provide design guidance and mentorship to internal project teams Collaborate closely with practice leadership to evolve and maintain the studio’s design direction Contribute to project reviews and internal design discussions to ensure design quality across the practice SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum 15 years’ professional architectural experience within Australia Demonstrated experience delivering design-led residential or mixed-use projects Strong conceptual design capability with the ability to translate ideas into compelling architectural solutions Confident communicator with the ability to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders Experience guiding projects through early design, planning and approvals processes Strong leadership and mentoring skills within a collaborative studio environment CULTURE This studio prides itself on maintaining a supportive and structured workplace.
