**About the role**:
**To be successful in this role your background will demonstrate**:
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Safely performing routine and technical tasks using manual and automated equipment
- Accurately analysing results together with internal and external quality performance
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Liaising with Pathologists and Senior staff
- Communicating with health professionals
**It will be considered highly advantageous for applicants to hold the following qualifications or skills**:
- Bachelor of Medical Science or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skills within a Biochemistry discipline
- Perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision
- Experience in a Pathology Laboratory environment
