Food Services Assistant Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to assist in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents.
In this essential role, you will evaluate and support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of our Food Services Program (FSP), including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist in kitchen tasks to ensure that residents receive well-prepared, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs.
* Evaluate and support the development of menus to meet the diverse needs of residents.
* Maintain cleanliness in food preparation, service, and dining areas according to hygiene and safety standards.
* Support effective communication with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and identify any food-related concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A recognised Food Handling Course or equivalent qualification.
* A current National Police Certificate or willingness and ability to obtain one.
* First Aid skills and certification.
* Prior experience in residential aged care food services is highly desirable.
