Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Orthopaedic Care (Casual / Part-Time)
Access Ortho is a busy and growing Urgent Orthopaedic Care clinic providing rapid, high-quality care for acute musculoskeletal injuries. We currently operate clinics in Indooroopilly and Ipswich.
We are seeking a casual or part-time Nurse Practitioner for our Indooroopilly clinic. Applicants interested in opportunities in the Ipswich area are also encouraged to get in touch for an informal discussion.
As our clinics continue to expand, we are looking for Nurse Practitioners with a strong interest in orthopaedic and emergency care.
The Role
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the assessment and early management of patients presenting with acute orthopaedic injuries. This includes:
* Clinical assessment and diagnosis
* Early treatment, including casting and immobilisation
* Arranging appropriate radiology
* Referring patients to orthopaedic specialists within the clinic or to public/private services as required
* Providing follow-up care for patients
Nurse Practitioners work closely alongside our specialist Orthopaedic Surgeons, including participation in dedicated follow-up clinics during the week.

Access Ortho provides urgent care for acute upper and lower limb injuries, including fractures, sprains, and strains (no neck or back injuries). Our service offers patients a fast, affordable alternative to emergency departments and long specialist wait times.
About You
To be suitable for this role, you will:
* Have a strong interest and experience in orthopaedic injuries
* Be eligible to obtain a provider number for our clinic locations, including billing and referral rights
* Be comfortable working in a busy clinical environment with a high patient volume
* Demonstrate excellent time management to ensure timely patient care
* Be open to guidance and collaboration with experienced Orthopaedic Surgeons
