Business Development Manager - Broker
Westpac Group is expanding its Broker Distribution offering and has a number of desk and field-based Business Development Manager vacancies available in Melbourne.
What's the role?
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be the key link between Westpac and our mortgage broker partners – ensuring they understand and trust our value proposition and actively promote Westpac to their clients.
You'll work closely with active brokers while tapping into a broader opportunity pool across VIC/TAS, ultimately holding responsibility for broker NPS and settlement targets through the management and maintenance of these relationships.
Manage and expand an active broker portfolio.
Develop strong broker relationships while providing policy and product education and coaching on loan structuring.
Troubleshoot pipeline issues, assist in mobilising deals through the credit process and provide solutions / escalations for complex scenarios.
Host and attend networking events including webinars, coffee clusters and development days.
Create business plans, hold regular strategy catch-ups and maintain a rolling applications pipeline.
What do I need?
Experience as a Business Development Manager, Credit Assessor, Broker or Lender.
Comfortable and flexible to attend / host networking events (in-person and online).
Skilled in developing mutually beneficial relationships with external partners.
The ability to work autonomously, manage a fast-paced pipeline and achieve set targets.
Experience in a field or phone-based sales / relationship management role.
