About The Role
As a leader in culinary operations, you will have the opportunity to oversee the pre-opening team of our first hotel in Australia. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day kitchen operation, leading and developing a team of chefs, and ensuring that all culinary activities meet guest needs and expectations.
* Hands-on management of the kitchen operation, including menu planning and food preparation.
* Lead, coach, and mentor members of the team to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties while also developing them for future roles.
* Demonstrate Hyatt's values of caring for people to be their best at all times and encourage team members to embody these values.
* Develop new menus in line with brand standards and stay up-to-date with seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and occupational health & safety standards.
* Collaborate with sales and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential.
* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* Proven success in leading and developing teams.
* Knowledge of the market and demonstrated flair and creativity with a focus on locally sourced products.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
