Job Description
As our #AAA team continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Port Macquarie region, covering Crescent Head, South West Rocks, Kempsey, Lake Cathie and Laurieton, depending on where you're based – work close to home!
As an experienced clinician, you'll bring your expertise to a supportive and collaborative environment where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of your participants, contribute to team development, and continue growing professionally.
Responsibilities
* Manage a varied, community‐based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings
* Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults
* Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC
* Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant‐centred goals
* Deliver evidence‐based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence
* Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes
* Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals
* Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Current Speech Pathology Australia membership with SPA
* Experience as a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist beyond graduation
* Passionate about community‐based support for people with disability
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
* Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
* Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians
