About The Role
As the Production Manager for our F&T plant in Wacol QLD you will be responsible for the ongoing night operations for the manufacturing of Timber Frames, Floors and Roof Trusses. This brand new F&T plant opened its doors in early 2024 and recently began the night shift in August 2025 therefor you will be responsible for the further Recruitment, Training and Development of your team and implementing procedures as we continue to expand. You will be supported by a long-standing and accomplished Bunnings Leader whilst being able to bring in fresh ideas to help efficiency, production and team development in Yard Supervisors, Automation Specialists, Production Team and Forklift Drivers. You will also be involved in the implementation of new equipment and machinery, engaging with the local community and a wide variety of tasks essential to the success of this manufacturing plant.
In addition to the above, your role will help drive the future of F&T at Bunnings, by developing local strategies and business plans that support the overall long-term growth of the national F&T business. You will be required to monitor and measure customer service levels, liaise with the Commercial Sales teams key relevant stakeholders to educate them on manufacturing capabilities, products, service that will help drive sales and increase greater knowledge for Best Experience whilst also ensuring manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
With 5 Frame & Truss Sites operating in Wacol, Minto, Warnervale, Hallam, and Truganina there couldn't be a better time to join the Bunnings Commercial team as we look to expand our F&T offering across VIC, QLD, and NSW. You will have access to a wide range of knowledge and experience whilst working closely with your Leader and our National F&T Manager.
With plans to grow in the QLD area you can expect to lead the overall team of 20 - 35 in the Night shift running from 2:30pm to 10:30pm. You will have a variety of Vendors, Suppliers, Clients, and greater Bunnings Group to work with in which your leadership and influencing skills will be tested daily. As the F&T team continues to grow your role will be essential in helping to streamline processes and manage internal expectations.

Who We're Looking For
As a Production Manager for Frame and Truss you will be a highly driven individual with a strong knowledge of Frame & Truss, Construction or Manufacturing. Previous experience in leading large teams with a focus on Health and Safety, Manufacturing Efficiency with an ability to Develop large teams. You must be able to wear many hats, influence multiple stakeholders and have a solid understanding of P&L reporting, KPI's (Margin, Timelines, Sales) and exceeding client expectations.
