Role Summary

As a Laboratory Officer at the University of Melbourne's Dookie campus, you will support teaching and research laboratories, provide technical support, manage resources, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with faculty to improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and advice on laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety to staff and students.
• Oversee the inventory, maintenance, and supply of laboratory and glasshouse equipment and materials.
• Uphold health and safety regulations, prepare SOPs, and manage chemical hazards.
• Collaborate with faculty and external suppliers to enhance service delivery and develop new processes.

Qualifications

You may be a great fit if you have a degree in laboratory operations or equivalent experience and strong communication skills. You should be able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

• Relevant degree or experience in laboratory operations.
• Knowledge of scientific procedures and equipment troubleshooting.
