The Hydro-Majestic is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist with leading our housekeeping operations and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. As a member of our wider Salter Brothers Hospitality team, you’ll play a key role in creating meaningful experiences for both our guests and teammates through thoughtful service, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
About The Hydro-Majestic Hotel
The Hydro Majestic is an iconic and historic hotel stretching 1.1 kilometres along the escarpment edge of the spectacular World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, overlooking the Megalong Valley.
Just one hour and 45 minutes drive from Sydney, the Hydro Majestic features art-deco inspired accommodation and is an unrivalled escape into the luxury and grandeur of yesteryear. Our multiple food & beverage outlets include the Boiler House, Wintergarden Restaurant, Salon du The, The Pavilion Cafe, and the Belgravia Bar & Lounge.
The role and key duties
* Clean, service, and maintain guest rooms to the highest standards, including bed-making, dusting, vacuuming, sanitising surfaces, and replenishing amenities;
* Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of cleanliness and guest service;
* Coordinate daily shift operations, including staff allocations and task assignments;
* Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure they meet brand standards for cleanliness and presentation;
* Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints, ensuring a positive experience, handle escalated guest issues and communicate effectively with management;
* Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering of supplies;
* Maintain a safe work environment and follow all workplace safety procedures.
Essential criteria required to be considered
* Previous housekeeping experience;
* Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel setting;
* A commitment to assist in leading, training and developing a small team;
* Commitment to providing an excellent guest experience;
* Good problem solving & organisational skills, high level of productivity & time management;
* Ability and willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;
* Located close to our restaurant with a reliable vehicle or a willingness to relocate.
