Overview
As a Contracts and Safety Management Coordinator, you will contribute to the health and safety of the University of Melbourne community. You will provide comprehensive OHS advice, coordinate support services, and implement safety policies across campus management functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert OHS advice to staff, workplace managers, and stakeholders across the university.
- Coordinate safety initiatives and assist in implementing local health and safety systems across portfolios.
- Monitor compliance by participating in and reporting on quality assurance, ensuring adherence to university policies and legal requirements.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and delivering sustainable health and safety process improvements.
You may be a great fit if
- You hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and have strong knowledge of health and safety legislation with the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- You have demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and relevant legislative requirements.
- You have excellent communication skills to engage with staff and contractors.
- You are experienced with certified health and safety management systems such as ISO45001.
- You have strong report writing skills and the ability to deliver health and safety reports.
- You can work both independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
