Van der Meer is a Structural and Civil Engineering consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. We are looking for a high-performing Senior/ Associate Civil Engineer to join our Brisbane team.
We deliver a wide range of projects across industrial, commercial and land development sectors. We are looking for an experienced senior to help lead the land development team, while also supporting significant growth in our industrial project pipeline.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys running multiple projects, taking ownership, and being directly involved in both design and delivery.
Role Description
* Lead and manage multiple civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery
* Undertake and review design of:
* Stormwater and drainage systems
* Bulk earthworks and site grading
* Road and pavement design
* Flood and overland flow assessment (SEQ experience beneficial)
* Coordinate with clients, councils, contractors and consultants to drive projects forward
* Prepare and review reports, design documentation and submissions
* Mentor junior engineers and work closely with designers to deliver high-quality outcomes
* Contribute to project planning, resourcing and delivery across the team
Qualifications
* Minimum 8+ years' experience in civil engineering within a consulting environment
* Strong background in land development projects
* Confident managing multiple projects and competing priorities
* Comfortable taking ownership and driving outcomes
* Keen to grow into a more senior role and challenge yourself technically and professionally
* Experience or exposure to flooding, drainage and SEQ standards is highly regarded
* CPEng / RPEQ (or working towards) preferred
