Are you passionate about building a sustainable future for Tasmania's natural resources and environment? If so, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE Tas) invites you to join our Cadetship Program.
As a Cadet, you will have the opportunity to;
* Study part-time your Bachelor degree while working across the department's diverse areas of Primary Industries and Water; Parks and Wildlife Service; Environment Heritage and Land; and Strategy and Business Services.
* Work on exciting projects that contribute to meaningful outcomes
* Undertake research and provide valuable insights to support decision making
* Participate in a variety of administrative and operational activities
* Learn from experienced professionals and develop practical workplace skills

Our program is open to individuals from all fields of study who have an interest in leadership and management. Applicants must be enrolled in a relevant degree course or be in the early stages of their degree (ie not yet graduated). This opportunity is designed for those still working towards completing their bachelor degree.
This position will be based in Launceston or Devonport (to be negotiated).

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of appointment
Employed on a 12 monthly basis, for a maximum period of 6 years. A permanent appointment is then offered to those that successfully complete the program.
Essential requirements
* Currently studying, or prior to starting the cadetship, be enrolled in an undergraduate degree relating to the field of Management, or equivalent discipline, at a recognised tertiary institution.
