We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Housing team in Adelaide.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, innovative structural designs and documentation for medium to large complexity building structures, including architecturally designed houses, estate development units/townhouses, and community facilities such as community centres and gymnasiums, with potential to work on multi-level building structures and light commercial buildings.
* Run projects from concept design to construction within budget and delivery timeframes, supported by experienced and collaborative building engineering teams.
* Assist in client management with existing clients and other relevant project stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
* Help develop graduate and junior engineers within the team in alignment with company goals, procedures, and strategy.
* Cultivate a client‐focused approach in daily work, ensuring responsiveness, on‐time delivery, and professionalism.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
* 5+ years of post‐graduate structural design experience in the residential or building industry.
* Experience designing residential or low‐rise structural buildings.
* Experience designing with timber, reinforced concrete, steel structures, and waffle, raft, suspended slab, retaining walls, etc.
* Proficiency in engineering design software tools such as ClearCalcs, SpaceGass, Toolkit, Inducta (advantageous), and RAPT (advantageous).
* Ability to build rapport with clients and project stakeholders.
* Advanced skill in interpreting Australian standards and building codes, designing in accordance with AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, and NCC.
