About the role as an Underground Electrician :
* conduct regular workplace inspection, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards.
* provide electrical trades labour and supervision and guidance for trades assistants and apprentices.
* prepare shift reports detailing work performed.
* ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all statutory rules.
We are looking for
* Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment (preferable)
* Current WA Electrical Licence or interstate licenses accepted (transferred at your own cost)
* Current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
* Current working at heights qualification's
* Experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment
* Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks
* The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
* Good verbal and written communication skills;
* A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done - safely .
