As a **Statutory Planner**, you will have a chance to drive the future ready planning and delivery of major road and water infrastructure projects, as well as landfills and resource recovery, pumped hydro and renewable energy, and property projects.
We offer hybrid working arrangements, whereby you'll be based in either of our **Brisbane **or **Sunshine Coast** office, with the option to **work from home **two days per week, if desired.
**What you'll do**
- Take the lead on small to medium planning projects
- Collaborate with your team, clients and regulatory authorities, and foster great relationships through accurate and timely planning advice
- Participate in business development opportunities such as the preparation of proposals.
Some of the key projects you might be involved in:
- Transmission line and renewable energy projects
- Coomera Connector Stage 1 North
- Big-T Pumped Hydropower Energy Storage project
- Water and waste programs for local authorities and water utilities
**About you**
You're likely to have 3+ years experience in statutory or urban/regional planning, approvals or impact assessments, particularly on transport, water or renewable energy projects.
If you have equivalent experience in property development, government or defence sectors and are keen to deliver large scale infrastructure projects, we would also love to hear from you.
You will enjoy working with people, with a wide range of skills and backgrounds. You will contribute to the team through your work, knowledge and enthusiasm for our clients and projects.
In addition, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in planning and be eligible for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia
- Strong knowledge of Queensland planning legislation, policy and reform directions
- Project management or project coordination experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail
- Experience working in a consulting environment
- A passion for planning issues and desire to help shape outcomes in urban and regional areas.
