Compensation: $125,000 – $165,000 annually + bonus potential
We are seeking a highly skilled Controller / Office Manager to oversee the financial, administrative, and operational support functions of our organization. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll ensure financial accuracy, lead administrative teams, and partner with leadership to strengthen systems across accounting, HR, and IT. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-minded environment.
Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
* Lead all accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, monthly close, and reconciliations.
* Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and compliance with tax requirements.
* Coordinate quarterly and year-end reviews with external tax/accounting partners.
* Develop forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to support leadership decision-making.
Human Resources
* Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and HR compliance to support operational departments.
* Manage payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
* Partner with managers to maintain proper staffing levels and organizational efficiency.
* Manage and mentor a team of administrative staff (currently 3 full-time, 1 part-time direct, and 4 indirect reports).
* Ensure consistent office coverage, scheduling, and cross-training to maintain smooth operations.
* Establish systems for accuracy, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
IT & Systems Support
* Serve as primary liaison to IT partners for ERP and security systems.
* Enhance systems for tracking, data capture, and process automation across finance, HR, and operations.
General Management
* Provide proactive communication to managers regarding incomplete or inaccurate information.
* Support operations and sales teams with administrative and financial needs.
* Uphold and model company values including technical excellence, service, accountability, and results-driven leadership.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
* 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including leadership responsibility.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
* Experience overseeing HR and administrative functions is strongly preferred.
* Proven ability to manage, train, and develop teams.
* Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary: $125,000 – $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
