Facilities supervisor - hospitality services

As a leader in hospitality services, you will oversee the daily operations of our support services and ensure exceptional experiences for key stakeholders. Your role will serve as the primary point of contact for managers to assist with the provision or resolution of hospitality services, including housekeeping and pantry facilities.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement initiatives to promote and achieve service excellence and employee engagement, driving sustainable satisfaction among stakeholders.
* Timely resolve operational issues, aligning with the broader hospital operation's goals.
* Directly manage the Environmental Services team and resources, providing leadership during peak periods.
* Regularly review, revise, and update caregiver tasks, procedures, and duty statements to meet evolving service needs.
* Collaborate with all stakeholders to gather feedback on service standards across support services.
* Coordinate performance evaluations and development programs for caregivers and trainees to enhance their capabilities and understanding of organizational requirements.
* In partnership with the Head Chef and human resources, address disciplinary matters and grievances to foster strong department relationships.
* Build and sustain positive internal and external relationships through communication and consultation.
* Provide guidance and counsel on support services practices and guidelines.
* Ensure processes are in place to facilitate compliance with statutory requirements.
* Perform routine inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout support services.
* Prepare schedules and optimize resource allocation within budgetary constraints.


Requirements

* Bring proven experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles, demonstrating the ability to monitor, apply corrective actions, and uphold the highest standards of professional behavior, service quality, and customer service.
* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, advanced time management, and organizational abilities, with excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards.
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Business Management/Administration, or Cert IV Training & Assessment is highly regarded.
