Head Pig Breeding Technician
Pig breeding is a vital part of the agricultural industry, and we are seeking an experienced Head Pig Breeding Technician to lead our breeding program.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising piggery breeding activities.
* Collecting pig semen and processing it for artificial insemination.
* Performing artificial insemination in a piggery setting and maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
* Heat detection in livestock and administering vaccinations and medication to the sow herd as required.
Requirements for this role include:
* A Certificate III or higher in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Strong knowledge of artificial insemination, farrowing management, and herd health monitoring.
* Physically fit and capable of working in a hands-on rural environment with commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety.
